Presentation

We are a young couple (Enrique & Pino) with a boy and a girl (Enrique Javier & Adriana), born and grown at the same time as the draft Jirdana Village. We love the relationship with the people and the restoration of historical heritage of our island.

We came to live in El Hierro for good in 1998. From the first moment, we had the idea of buying an old house and restore it. A year later, and after reviewing many possibilities, we bought Jirdana Village in ruins and the land around them.

Immediately, we began the process of reconstruction (much with our own hands) respecting the traditional architecture of the island and the materials used by our ancestors: stone, wood and tile. In summer of 2001, we opened the doors of the first house (house of the exclusive use) and in the Easter of 2009 the second one (for sharing use).

We think we will never regret the decision we made because it is a business that gives you great satisfaction for very little. We welcome all who want to visit our village; our homes and our hearts are open to receive all who will dwell in them. We are a friendly, nice and welcoming family which receives the love, admiration and gratitude of our clients and friends, so… is it not sufficient reason to keep our doors open?
